We spent two weeks on a narrow boat, touring the canals of the Midlands.
Very early in the morning, before any other boats had sent out, the water was always very still and calm. On one such occasion we were joined by a series of ducks, all eager for some of our breakfast.
On a short walk away from the canal, I found a stretch of hedgerow rather popular with butterflies. I managed to capture this one a few seconds before it flew off.
One day we moored alongside a huge field of wheat. It was a quiet, warm evening and the glow of the sun was almost enchanting.
