An experience of a lifetime!!! Whale and Dolphin watching in Ireland, July 2009. Something I'd wanted to do for SUCH a long time! We took a trip with Whale Watch West Cork - saw beautiful scenery, harbour porpoises, and a minke whale (unfortunately I didn't get a shot of the whale or porpoises, but my boyfriend did!!!). Absolutely beautiful! We then went on a boat trip in Dingle Bay, where Fungi the dolphin rode the bow waves (see photo-dorsal fin in waves!)

SummerZoom09: Westonbirt Arboretum

I went to Westonbirt Arboretum in England with my mum, nan and uncle for the day to walk my Norweigian Elkhounds and to look at the different tree textures and colours. Was beautiful.

This year we had a wonderful family holiday in Tenerife July 2009. We had a chance of a Lifetime to swim with Dolphins at the aqua park. Some of these Dolphins have been rescued after shark attacks and are very well looked after by staff.

Last summer we spent two beautiful weeks in France. The weather and countryside were great. The quiet evenings we spent at the beach of the rich and famous. Then we had the sand for ourselves to watch the sunset and listen to the waves coming ashore. Unfortunately our car broke down and we had to leave France earlier than planned. We phoned for a rental car and drove back home, leaving our beloved BMW behind to be repatriated by the ANWB.

Our family holiday was on the Isle of Wight this year and what a wonderful island it is with all it's hidden treasures. So clean and friendly. Beautiful views. Pretty quaint villages. So much fun to be had and things to do. Of course the weather was changeable, making the most of the sunshine and dry bits is all part of the Great British holiday, isn't it?

This year I was fortunate enough to travel to Cuba. The views were amazing, the beaches the best I've ever seen and the people were really friendly and loved to be photographed. The people were very proud of their country and took the time to go out of their way to tell us all about the history, culture and traditions of the country. It really was a trip to remember.

Our most amazing holiday has to be our honeymoon- the trip of a lifetime. Sri Lanka was amazing- so much to do and wonderful people. So many memories. We then moved onto the Maldives. Just like to say if anyone ever going to Las Vegas you must book a helicopter flight to take you over the hoover dam and the grand canyon. It was amazing and the scenery is awesome. The pilot was very nice and he made us all feel really safe with his constant jokes and humour.

A wonderful 6 week holiday in the USA mainly spent in Colorado where we drove up mountains with 11000 feet drops just inches away, visited Gods Garden where the scenery was breath taking, walked over the worlds highest suspension bridge at "The Royal Gorge". We then drove to Bryce Canyon and who would believe that this used to be under the sea, it looks like a scene from a fairy tale we then went to Lake Tahoe a 27 mile long lake which looked more like a sea the temperature was 80 degrees but a week after we left it was snowing, amazing, we ended up in the Sin City of Las Vegas where of course we lost, but what fun is to be had in losing, as OAPs this was our last holiday but one we will never forget.
