On 10.10.2007, the 5th German “Deloitte Technology Fast 50” award ceremony took place. On this occasion, the 50 fastest growing technology companies are honoured for their outstanding entrepreneurial performance. The rank depends on the accumulated revenue growth rates of the past five years (2002-2006). For the first time, Europe’s leading online photo service Pixum also received a price as the only company in this line of business and scored position 35 out of 50.
Consequent strategy rewarded
With an average revenue growth of 343% over the past five years, Pixum (www.pixum.com) was among the top 50 of the prestigious German “Deloitte Technology Fast 50” program for the first time; a performance not achieved by any other online photo service.
Pixum currently provides its services for about 1.3 million registered users, 60% of which are from Germany, 40% from the rest of Europe. On www.pixum.com, the company offers its services in eight languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
Besides mail order product offers that range from photo printing to posters, canvas prints, photo books, individual photo gifts such as mugs, jigsaw puzzles, T-shirts and soft toys, Pixum offers its customers a comprehensive set of community services for free. These included online photo albums, photo sharing via Internet and e-mail, concepts for photo mobile users, blogs and much more.
