This year we spent a month in Europe travelling through Germany, France and Italy. As I was unlucky enough to break my shoulder in India the previous year I got a new companion for this trip. Barnaby the travelling bear has the same injuries but is a very good sport, he enjoyed it all as much as we did. You will see him in Strasbourg, Rothenburg ob der Taube and Stuttgart.

We went to the small and quiet skegness, where there is something for everyone to enjoy. The main attractions were the pleasure beach with donkey rides and entertainment, a fair with plenty of rides for the old and young, there are lots of souvenir shops where you are guaranteed to find a gift for all the family.
It may not be a very famous holiday place, but it is a wonderful place for a small break, or even a day trip.

Just to prove that you can have a fun holiday in this country!
We stayed in a caravan at the Haven Devon Cliffs holiday park in Exmouth from 20th to 27th June.
We have 2 daughters aged 2 and 5, who for weeks kept on saying that they wanted to go to the zoo.
So we visited Paignton Zoo, in Devon on one of the sunniest days of the year (22nd June).
We saw lots of different animals, from flamingos to elephants. But the meerkats were the most photogenic of them all!
